Obituary of Maria da Conceição Pacheco
Maria da Conceição Pacheco, of Lodi, California passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in 1931 in beautiful São Miguel, Azores, Portugal to José Joaquim da Silva and Maria da Conceição Cavaco da Silva. In 1957, Maria married the love of her life, Henrique Pacheco, and soon after, in April of 1960, they moved to the United States. The young couple settled in the small town of Lodi to raise their family.
Maria was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She found great joy in raising her family, gardening, cooking, baking, quilting, and doting over her grandchildren. Family was everything to her. Maria was strong, beautiful, kind, intelligent, generous, loving, and sincere. She was very well known for her green thumb and beautiful garden.
Maria lived her life with grace and great faith. Adored by her family and friends, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all. Maria is survived by her children; Henry Pacheco and wife Linda and Albina Gilbert and husband Robert; grandchildren: Tyler and Derrick Gilbert, Hallsie, Brennen, and Matthew Pacheco; and brother: Joao Cavaco of Canada. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Henrique Pacheco, and her parents and siblings.
Maria’s memory lives on in her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. She has touched so many lives, with her generosity and kindness, and has been a blessing to all. We know that Maria is now reunited with her loving husband, Henrique, and is tending Heaven’s glorious garden. May she Rest In Peace. We love you, Mom and Grandma (Vava).
