Obituary of David Edward Tennant

David E. Tennant passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January
8, 2024 at the age of 58.  David was born December 20th 1965 in Mil-
waukee, Wisconsin to parents, Edward and Audrey Tennant.
David grew up for the most part, in the greater Santa Cruz area. He graduated in 1984 from
Marello Preparatory High School in Santa Cruz and went on to study Child Development at San
Francisco State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Credential.
David worked for 20+ years as a beloved Elementary school teacher in the
Stockton Unified School District.

David lived in Arnold, California for many years where he raised daughter,
Caitlin and son Adrian with his first wife Toni Ellis Tennant. David later
moved to Stockton where he met his wife Maria and raised daughter Marisol
and his step-children until his passing.

David’s passions were for his family, lifetime friendships, his faith, music
and singing and he felt the most peaceful spending time at the ocean and
beaches of Santa Cruz. He was also a passionate Oakland Raider and Oakland
A’s fan. David will be remembered best for his gentle soul, his compassion
for others and for his witty sense of humor. He was at his best when he was
helping others or making people laugh.

David was preceded in death by his Father Edward E. Tennant and is
survived by his Wife Maria Ramirez Mendoza Tennant; Children; Caitlin
Herman, Son-in-law Jeff Herman, Son Adrian Tennant and daughter MarisolRamirez Tennant; Step-children: Julian, Maria Del Carmen, Juliana, Alvi-no, Christopher, Brandon and Alondra; his grandchildren Ellie Herman,Abigail Herman; Step-grandchildren: Noah, Emily, Bruno, Camila, Athena
and Santi; Mother Audrey Tennant, Brother Patrick Tennant, Sister Kirsten
Gomez, Brother-in-law Richard Gomez, Nieces: Gabriella Gomez, Jocelyn
Gomez and Carlie Gomez as well as his loving Aunts and Uncles: Marilyn
and Larry Hunn, Suzanne and Jim Curasi and Shirley and Ron Rasmusson
