Obituary of Brad Walter Klipfel
Brad Walter Klipfel, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 7, 2023. He was born January 18, 1948 in Stockton, California to Sarah and Milton Klipfel. Brad graduated from Lodi High School and San Joaquin Delta College. He then graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in Biology wih a focus on Botany. Brad was active in the outdoors; hiking, fishing, and years of scuba diving, Brad had a deep interest in mycology, notably forgaging for fungi. He was employed by Applied Aerospace Structures for over 15 years and a proudly licensed Pyrotechnician. On retirement, Brad pursued his dream to travel the world to include all 7 continents. He felt especially moved when visiting Machu Picchu in Peru and was soon to explore Antarctica. Brad was a wine enthusiast, enjoyed a range of music and concerts, tie-dye shirts, sharing adventures, and lively banter. He looked forward to spending time in the company of his beloved friends. His family and faith was always his focus and priority.
Brad was preceded in death by his dear and loving wife Paula Klipfel, and parents Milton and Sarah Klipfel. He is survived by his sister Nanette (Klipfel} Wiesner (Richard}; nephew and nieces, Ben Wiesner, Heidi Breithaupt (Danny), and Hannah Huber (Jordan); four great nieces and nephew.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 Wednesday, November 22 at Lodi Memorial Cemetery (Garden of Prayer), 5750 E. Pine St., Lodi.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brad's name. to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) or Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org}; organizations he was passionate about.
