Obituary of Geraldine Balash

Geraldine Balash, age 90 of Galt,  passed away Tuesday, September 5th at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 10, 1932 to parents Albert and Alice Tubbs in Belleville, Arkansas and has been a resident of Sacramento County for 28 years. 

Geraldine is remembered for her fun nature, great sense of humor, skilled cooking, and creativity in painting and crocheting. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed gardening, caring for her home and family, and being a loving “Gigi” to her grandchildren.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Tubbs, and her husband Paul Balash Jr., who passed in 1981. She is survived by her children, Jackie Burch, Clayton Balash, Paul Balash III, Valerie Balash, and James Balash; grandchildren, Jennifer Kadel, Sabrina Burch, Candice Baumbach, Makayla Balash, Mitchel Balash, Hope Balash, Gabriel Balash, and Ian Hayward-Balash; 6 great grandchildren; and her sister, Jimmie Sue Roberson. 

Private services will be held at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
