Obituary of Reo Nathan
REO’S APPLIANCE FINAL NOTICE
Reo Nathan went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2023, just 3 months short of his 100th birthday.
Reo was the 13th child in his family, born to John and Sofia Nathan in Bismark, North Dakota. They moved to Lodi when he was 3 years old. He grew up in Lodi and was given his high school diploma when he joined the Navy during WWII. There he was in battles of the South Pacific, including Iwo Jima.
After WWII he returned to Lodi and attended the Assembly of God Church. There he met Maxine Beyerle and they were married over 66 years, until her passing in 2015.
In 1956 they opened Reo’s Appliance Center which served Lodi over 65 years.
Reo loved God, family, and traveling. He had a special Santa hat and loved giving presents to family, especially grandkids and great-grandkids.
Reo is survived by two sons, Brad Nathan (Mary) and Craig Nathan (Carly); five grandsons, Bryan, Scott, Sean, Jeffrey and Zach Nathan; five great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30 at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31 at Evergreen Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Ln, in Lodi, followed by interment in the cemetery where Reo and Maxine will be reunited.
