Obituary of Donald Arthur Arkley

Donald Arthur Arkley passed away in Stockton on Wednesday, August 2nd, at the age of 90.  He was born September 25, 1932 to parents Harry and Lucile Arkley in Lompoc, California, and has been a resident of San Mateo County for 60 years.  He worked as an electronics engineer at GTE Lenkurt for over 30 years.

Donald had a wide variety of hobbies including hunting, fishing, photography, ham radio, building and flying model airplanes, restoring old cars, horseback riding, motorcycles and traveling, but most of all he loved to spend time with his wife and family.

Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Gail Arkley, his daughter Laurie, brother Robert, sister-in-law Merne, and one grandson.  He is survived by his children, David, Elizabeth (Barry), Laureen (Steve), Danette, Jeff (Anita), niece Pamela, nephews Steve, Bruce and James, 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held with family. Donald will be laid to rest at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
