So in 1990 I held a meeting in Stockton and Don and Patsy came to the meeting in his Corvette. My son Jason was 16 and loved cars (still does) and he was looking over the Corvette and Don asked Jason if he wanted to drive it down the freeway. Of course Jason said yes. I was standing there and I told Don he was only 16 and just got his drivers license but Don said he would be with him and it would be fine. They zoomed out of the parking lot and were gone for what seemed like a long time but then they zoomed back into the parking lot. Jason (and Don) got out all smiles. I texted Jason Sunday night after I found out Don had passed and asked him if he remembered that and of course he did. That was the highlight of the meeting for him. Maybe for Don too! lol. Don was always a joy to be around and his tireless work on the OPA and the Philippine churches are fruit to the glory of our Lord. I told him awhile back his dad and mother would be proud of his ministry. I know his family is. We all will miss him - but only for awhile. ❤️. Jerry Dickinson

I last met my hero and my role model Brother Don. L. King at a Labor Day Gospel meeting in Missouri ,I have forgotten the year, where he was the main speaker....that when he saw me he rush to hug me very joyfully, which reception, gave me an everlasting impression that I was very very close friend of him and also assured me that I was much welcomed at that meeting. I am very certain that he has been called up in glory to receive his crown....may his soul rest in eternal peace
