Obituary of Howard B. Parker III
Howard Baucum Parker Ill was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana December 21, 1954 and died March 24, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Collens Parker, his father, Howard Baucum Jr. and his nephew, Evans Hanson.
Howard was with his companion Maryanne Sievers for 35 years. They had a beautiful life together. He loved her children, Andria (Deborah), Gigi, and Jack (Tristine) as if they were his own. He was especially proud of his 3 grandsons, Nicholas Sievers, Brenden Sievers and Jace Haro. He had a close and loving relationship with his siblings and their families: Ann Lytle Parker Hanson, Katie (Robert) Augustyn, Margaret Parker Shrewsbury, Lancaster (Melanie), and John Parker. Nieces and nephews, Jamie Hanson (widow of Evans) their children Janice and Alexandria, William Augustyn, Mary Claire (Brian) their children Elizabeth and Margaret Reynolds, Andrew Shrewsbury, Jana (Josh) and their son, Joshua Randolph and Sarah Parker.
Howard loved fishing, golf, sharing his love of food, and bridge. He especially loved bridge and was a gifted talented player. He was once told by a bridge player that is she had to play for her life, she would choose Howard as her partner. Howard loved his bridge family.
Howard was larger than life. Kind, generous, loving and loyal. He loved to laugh and have a good time. We will love him forever. He will be in our hearts forever. He was taken too soon. He will never be forgotten. A private memorial is planned.
