Obituary of Jack Parrish
Jack Parrish, 65 years of age, passed on Saturday March 18, 2023.
Jack was born July 22, 1957 in San Jose, CA to the late Bobby Ray and Eula Mae Parrish. He was the youngest of 3 children, one preceded him in death.
Jack married the love of his life, Cathie in 1979 and 7 children were born from this union. The family moved from San Jose to the San Joaquin Valley in 1996. Jack worked as a Plasterer for 25 years before retiring in 2009 due to health reasons.
Jack loved his family more than anything. He loved fishing with his brother, nephew and sons. Time spent with family was what he lived for. He enjoyed feeding people exorbitant amounts of food and making them laugh until they couldn’t breathe. He was the class clown through and through. He loved his little morsel (Cathie) with everything he was. His children and grandchildren filled his cup with so much joy, which he happily returned, pouring out his love back to each child. He lit up the room with his smile and laughter. He was a force to be reckoned with in so many ways. His goofy demeanor and outpouring of love impacted all who knew him. Covered in plaster, exhausted from an already long day, he always rolled home with a pocket full of bubble gum and big grin on his face reaching for his children to wrap them in his arms and rub his stubble on their necks. He was proud to provide for the ones that he loved and he consistently showed his love through his hands.
Jack leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Cathie; 7 children, Jacob, Christy, Joe, Josh, Stephen, Timmy, and Emily and their spouses; 10 grandchildren, Donavan, Devan, Dominic, Benji, Ian, Ivory, Levi, Mila, Haven, and Maverick; his Brother Randy and Sister-in-law Debbie; his Father and Mother-in-love Richard and Christine; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
The celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lodi at 267 N. Mills Avenue at 2:30 pm on Friday, March 24, 2023.
