Obituary of Dwight Eugene Teel

Dwight Eugene Teel January 16, 1946 – December 24, 2022 Dwight Teel of Acampo, CA passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was born January 16, 1946 in Concord California to George and Osa Teel. He grew up a country boy in Acampo and graduated from Galt High School in 1964. Dwight proudly retired a CW4 after serving in the Army National Guard for 32 years, and was the recipient of several military honors. While in service he was a mechanic, maintenance shop supervisor, pilot, and an academy principal. While not on active duty, Dwight served a few years as the Forest Lake Fire Chief. After the army, he was a pilot and mechanic for Alpine Helicopters. He was blessed to be able to enjoy this amazing life with his supportive wife and childhood friend, Dolores. They were married for 52 wonderful years. Dwight was a man of many talents and his hobbies included flying, boating, camping, woodworking, gardening, and creating culinary masterpieces for his family to enjoy. He was a loving and fun family man who loved to provide and family truly brought him the most joy in life. He was a member of the Church of God a Worldwide Association, and enjoyed visiting with and cooking for the members of his congregation. Dwight is survived by two sons, Rick (Catherine) Teel and Ron Teel, a daughter Roxann Teel, one granddaughter, Amber (Alex) Kuhnke, four grandsons, Justin and Brandon Teel, Jaren and Kanin Landberg, and seven great grandchildren including Gwenevere and Arwen Kuhnke. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Larry and Bill, two sisters Donna and Denise, and his wife, Dolores. Although Dwight will be missed by his loved ones, we are comforted to know this is not goodbye, but till we meet again in God’s Kingdom.
