Obituary of Stanley Angelo Lagomarsino
Stanley Angelo Lagomarsino, of Lodi, passed away on October 15, 2022 at 85 years old. After a recent diagnosis of an autoimmune disorder, Stanley’s health suffered from the side effects. Under the exceptional care at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, many challenges arose that ultimately took his life. He was surrounded by loved ones during his last few days.
Stanley was born to parents Joseph Angelo “George” and Annie Lagomarsino in Linden, Calif. where he graduated from Linden High School. He served in the United States National Guard while he courted Martha. They were married on January 26, 1963 and raised three daughters. Residing in Lodi, they grew alfalfa for many years until they purchased Lodi Schwinn in 1978 where he, along with his family, served the Lodi community. He is fondly remembered by customers for quality bicycles and friendly service.
Stanley worked at Rough and Ready Island, a key distribution point at the Port of Stockton until retirement a decade later. Continuing to serve his community, as a driver for a local rental car agency, and florist. He became an active volunteer at Lodi’s Lowell Center, often delivering meals to others.
Stanley is survived by his partner of 30 years, Sharon Frieders and her children, Craig (Laurie) Frieders, Justin Frieders. He is also survived by former wife, Martha Guinan Maggini and their daughters, Patricia (Mitch) Bechtold, Susanne (David) Schramm, Joann Lagomarsino; grandson, Dominick Bechtold; granddaughters, Mallory Schramm, Megan Bechtold, Samantha Schramm; nephews, Charles (Kelley) Artozqui, Joseph Artozqui; plus extended family and friends.
Services are as follows. A viewing will take place at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., Lodi, Calif. 95240 on Nov. 16 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. followed the next day by a funeral mass on Nov. 17, 2022 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut St., Lodi, Calif. 95240 at 10:00 a.m. Stanley will be missed by all that knew him.
