Obituary of Douglas M. Quetin
Douglas Quetin September 6 1949 - October 25, 2022 Acampo, CA. Doug was born in Hanford and then grew up in nearby Selma, CA. He later moved to the Monterey area where he served as the Air pollution Control officer for 27 years. He lovingly raised three children, Ben, Eli, and Annie. He is preceded in death by the mother of these children, Sue Quetin. After moving to Sacramento in 2006, Doug fell in love and married Kathleen Quetin and became stepfather to her two sons, Ian Tschogl and Conrad Brooks. He was a loving husband and father with unlimited compassion for others. In his retirement from Air quality work, he acquired many hobbies. He became a talented woodworker and winemaker. He was a member of the Lodi Amateur Vintners Association (LAVA) and made award winning wine. His beautiful hand turned bowls have sold in galleries and he has also given them directly to people he loved and admired. He has many lifelong friends who will miss him dearly and he has always stayed close to his Selma High School alumni group. He was a true renaissance man who loved history, poetry, politics, podcasts of all kinds. Doug was a true romantic who filled our home with fresh flowers and love at all times. The world was a better place because of him. He will be remembered and loved forever. A celebration of Life will be scheduled after the holidays and will be posted on the Lodi Funeral Home website.
