Obituary of Virginia Kay Sanders

Virginia Kay Sanders, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home on June 15th, 2022.

Virginia “Kay” was born to Joe & Palmer Thompson in Paris, Texas on August 8, 1946. They lived in Chicota, Texas before her family moved to Stockton when she was a young girl. She was really involved in her church Faith Assembly, even running the Sunday school for many years. She always made time to spread her love for Jesus to those around her, even handing out pamphlets and bibles to those in her neighborhood.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother who spent so much of her life dedicated to raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow up.

Kay was preceded in death by both her parents, Palmer & Joe Thompson.

She is survived by her brothers Joe Miller Thompson and her twin brother Ray Thompson, along with her sons Wiley, Dean, and Bruce Sanders. Kay has 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter who loved her and will miss her dearly.

There will be a viewing on Monday, June 27th, 2022, from 10-4pm at the Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S Fairmont Ave, Lodi, CA 95240, followed by the urn placement on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10am at the Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
