Obituary of Dean O Harr

Dean Orrin Harr, 63, of Lodi, California, passed away April 21, 2022, after a long illness.

He was born May 17, 1958, and a life-long resident of Lodi.  

Dean will always be remembered for his practical jokes, wild adventures and infectious laugh.  Everyone who knew Dean has a story to tell that they will never forget and, frankly, happy they survived to tell the story!  He loved nature and hiking and fishing with his boys, Dillon and Garrett.  He got his love of fishing and hunting from his father, sharing many hunting and fishing trips to Montana together.  He loved his daughter and always surprised her with something special just for her.

He was a graduate of Lodi Academy, class of 1977.  He went on to attend Pacific Union College, earning a degree in Construction.  He became a journeyman carpenter and worked for his father’s construction company, F&H Construction, for many years.  He eventually retired from the Port of Stockton.

Dean was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Harr and his son, Garrett Harr. He is survived by his mother, Helen Harr; his two children, Dillon Harr and Lauren Cox; siblings Dwight Harr, Delayne Rulo, Margaret Shulz, Lyly Nguyen, Michael Harr-Trueblood; many nieces and nephews; and three grand children.

A small celebration of life will be held May 21 at 2pm the private residence of Helen Harr. 6803 Haight Road, Lodi, CA.
