Obituary of Aldo John Rolleri

Aldo (Al) John Rolleri passed away peacefully December 29th 2021 at the age of 92. Aldo was born January 24 1929 and in Stockton Ca to Natale Rolleri and Emma Rolleri nee Moccafiche Italian immigrants from Genova Italy. His mother Emma died within days of Aldo’s birth. Al was raised by his father Natale and his older sister Catherine Previtali nee Rolleri. Al went to local schools spoke Italian but learned English at school. He went as far as the 8th grade then his father needed him at home to help with the 25-acre Fruit Tree Ranch. Al grew up with his lifelong friend George Lagorio who both were farmers. The job he retired from was as a delivery driver for NorCal Beverage (Hires-Canada Dry) in Stockton.

He met his wife of 43 years Mary Jane Rolleri nee Rishwain through Mary’s brother Jim Rishwain. Together they had four children 3 girls and one boy. Pam, Rick, Sharon and Carol.

Al and Mary enjoyed dancing and playing cards with friends. Al enjoyed working in his yard. Like his father he planted fruit trees in his backyard reminisce of his time on the ranch. Al enjoyed manicuring his home with a Baroque Garden motif as unique as the 16th century Italy. Al will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed joking around with family and friends.

Aldo was preceded in death by his wife Mary. Later in life he was able to meet Ila Costa a widow at a senior citizen dance. They shared a passion for dancing. They remained partners in life until Aldo’s death.

Al is survived by his four children, Pam Burnside-Dias (David), Rick Rolleri, Sharon Pfeiffer (Neal) and Carol Dinelli (Derrick). Also survived by his grandchildren Sabrina Filippi (Dennis) Christine Rolleri, Brad Rolleri, Nicole Beaulieu (Matt), Kristin Dinelli and Courtney Dinelli. Great grandchildren Jack and Lucas Beaulieu, Mary and John Filippi Alaina Rolleri and Gabreal Rolleri. He is also survived by nephew Alan Previtali,

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Catherine Previtali and his wife of 43 years Mary Jane Rolleri. 

Thank you to caregivers Emily Gloria who carried for our father for 4 plus years. Also, a thank you to the most recent caregivers: Marie Cecilia Jimenez, Susan (Eufemia) Romeo, Alma Emiano. We would also like to Thank all the staff at Hospice of San Joaquin for providing physical, emotional and spiritual support to our father and family! Special Thank you to Hospice Staff Rosevie, Michelle and Josh.
