Having the great pleasure of working with Herbert. He was a light in a dismal place to work (which we both did seasonally) and was always pleasant, cordial and shared many a story of his German youth as we had a shared heritage. His patriotism and outstanding example of a freedom loving American was, in retrospect glaring.
I have often thought of Herbert and the levity we shared, albeit for too short a time.
May our Lord Jesus Christ welcome him Home.
