Obituary of Bill Ray Carroll

Bill “Pops” Carroll Obituary Bill Ray Carroll was born on December 3, 1927 in Coal Hill, Arkansas. He passed from this earth at the age of 93 on July 9, 2021 in Lodi, California. Pops, as he was affectionately called by all. Graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1946. He then went on to work for General Mills, as a First-Class Pipe Fitter for 40 years. In his down time, Pops lived, ate and breathed any and all types of racing, especially Go-karts. He even built his own Sprint car and scooter! Even up to the very end Pops loved to work on anything mechanical. Pops was a kind, friendly, generous man. Whom we will miss greatly. Pops is preceded in death by his wife (ex) & friend Reva “Fuzzy” Carroll, both his sister Midge Freeman and brother-in-law J.J. Freeman. Pops is survived by his two daughters: Renea Carroll, Raynette Fergason (Larry Fergason). His Grandchildren: Shane Tahran (Liz Tahran) and William Tahran. Visitation will be held at Lodi Funeral Home from 9am to 11am Graveside service to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Ca. on July 16, 2021 at 12 p.m.
